Big air = big bragging rights and big vacation memories.
Terrain parks aren't just for "park rats" anymore. We're seeing more and more parents getting into the parks. The terrain park is becoming the new "big fish story" of the ski industry. Kids, adults and grandparents are going home with vacation glory stories about sliding a rail or hitting a jump instead of (or in addition to) the stories of racing down double black diamond runs.

The terrain park is the new bragging rights area for skiers/snowboarders of all ages (even if they're hitting the smaller features). This year, Keystone continues to invest in A51 Incubator - an expanded beginner area. This is in direct response to feedback from guests and the needs of the Keystone University (our ski/ride program) instructors for a "jumping off point" for their students and for the beginner freerider/freeskier.

Maximize your vacation time and dollar with night skiing/riding.
You plan your ski vacation and then dream of skiing/riding as many trails for as many hours as possible. Keystone offers 11 1/2 hours of skiing/riding Wednesdays through Sundays during peak season. That's a lot of skiing/riding for your dollar (our lift ticket is good Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Keystone also has one of the largest night terrain parks in the country, as well as a nighttime tubing hill, evening snowbiking, fireworks on Saturdays and for the 21 and over crowd new nightclubs to celebrate the evening and the wee hours of the morning, too.

Backcountry skiing/riding 101
Most skiers and riders dream of fresh tracks in the backcountry, however they don't have the backcountry skills, knowledge, fitness or time. Most of the time the avalanche danger is rated considerable to high. Keystone offered new guided snowcat tours to give advanced to expert skiers/riders an opportunity to enjoy more than 860 acres of bowl skiing/riding. As part of the program, skiers and riders must participate in a an introductory avalanche awareness talk where they learn to judge slope angle, how to pick safe lines, where not to ski, how to ski, who to ski with, what equipment they’ll need and how to use the equipment.
